Daily Database Updates: New grant opportunities are researched, verified, categorized, and added to the platform on a daily basis. Where a funder publishes a citable source, the listing carries the record of that check. Read the verification standard ## How does a listing get verified? A listing becomes a GrantWatch record in five steps. A research analyst reads the opportunity against the funder's own posting, compares applicant type, geography and closing date, signs the record, and publishes it with the date on which it was checked. Roughly 70% of our directory comprises of grants from private foundations, public foundations, corporations and charities. Grants themselves are free to apply for via official government portals; GrantWatch charges solely for search database features. You can search for grants on your own for free, but many organizations prefer to pay for the convenience of having them all in one place!
